WHICH BOX OR ELECTRIC PLAY DEVICE DO I BUY?

It's hard to say which toy is the best to buy. It really depends on your needs and your budget.
Below I have compared price, size, versatility and ease of use.

VIOLET WAND: The easiest electric toy to use and also the biggest attention getter. At around $400 for the better model (about $225 for a cheaply made one) it is quite expensive. RELAXACISOR: This is one the least expensive options. I got a unit with 6 plugs for $125 on ebay, but they are supposed to be illegal to sell there. Since they haven't been made for many years, they can be difficult to find. Sometimes they can be found on auction sites like Ebay or on Electric Magazine Forums like EES & EESM. It's great that they can be used with pads or most folsom / toys. However, they can be a little difficult to adapt the connection for attachments. EROS TEK ET-312: This is the most expensive option at around $450. This does not include attachments which run $50 - $200 each. However, it can give the widest range of sensations. Also of note is this is the 2nd or 3rd unit the company has made and they have had time to refine it. It is software upgradeable as well. I do wish it weren't as big so you could take it discretely out in public and play. Click here for a more in depth review of the ET-312. Sold by Sextek. EROS TEK 301-R: Brought to you by the same company that makes the other eros tek box. It is very tiny (size a tens unit or cigarette box) and can fit in your pocket making it portable. It doesn't have as much power or as many programs as the ET-312, but is great for parties or going out when you call your sub or just make them really horny while they do other things. It has only one channel, but does have a frequency adjustment and can be upgraded and used with Eroslink Software. They run about $350. Sold by Sextek. Click on link to see my review.

EROS TEK ET-302R: Same as above, but it has two channels and no frequency adjustment. It can't be upgraded or used with Eroslink Software. They also run about $350.

HOTBOXX: This has been discounted, but since you may be able to find one used I decided to keep this description here. This is similar to the Eros Tek ET-312 as it is made specifically as alternate electric play box. It is supposed to be fairly advanced, but doesn't have a lot of the features the Eros Tek does. This is also the first model the company as made, so they haven't had time to refine it. I am told by SM Fetters that when switching programs, the transition is not as smooth as the Eros-Tek. However, it is much more portable so public play is more of an option. It used to cost around $350.

FOLSOM BOXES: I have never used these so I don't know what they feel like, supposedly similar to a tens. However, in talking with others I would be least likely to this buy one. However, it is nice that the max box has two outputs and you can use it with bipolar nipple clamps. Also they are small and portable. They are fairly expensive $250 -$350. PES BOX: I recently obtained one of these and I am very disappointed with it. They claim that box is much more able to bring pleasure than others oriented and can help you orgasm better. Though it did create some nice sensation, my Eros Tek ET-312 is much more powerful and versatile. I was able to cum much easier with the Eros Tek than with the PES Box. This might be a good option if need something less expensive or are just starting out since they cost about $250. They are also small and portable, though not pocket size or remote controlled, like the Eros Tek remotes. Click here for a more in depth review of PES toys . TENS UNIT: Again you can find these used for $50 -$150 or buy one made for play. However, you never really know what you're buying without trying out. The power they output varies greatly. They too can be used with most Folsom / PES toys. They made an adapter for Folsom toys, but not for PES so you will have to improvise. One plus is that they very portable and can discretely be used in public places with a little creativity Also, its small size allows for easier self-gratification. RIMBA: Basically a European tens unit style box that is marketed for e-stimming. It is the least expensive European box runs about $100 and comes includes unit style tens pads, battery & sex clamps. Seems to have standard tens units controls of pulse amplitude and rate of your choice. They have a wide variety of toys that are made to use with it. ELECTRASTIM BOX: It is pretty basic and is the most expensive European box. It runs at about $150 and only includes tens style pad. However, If I was looking for a basic unit I might pick this one. It has four programs instead of tens unit style controls and it flat with no dials. I just get the impression it is more sex oriented than the others. There selection of female toys is also better than the other companies, yet I don't like there male toys as well. They don't market any adapters for it, so your kind of on your own if you want to use the box with other toys or there toys with other boxes. I guess it's all in what your looking for. PERFORMER 1 BOX (New Sex Toys): It looks pretty much like a tens unit with pulse & frequency controls. It has an in-between price of 115 eros, it comes with nothing else. I guess I would be least likely to buy this one. It is has more expensive base price than the Rimba one and doesn't come with any extra like the Rimba does. Though they have some vary cool toys though. You can use these box with other toys and the toys with other boxes (Folsom & Eros Tek) as they do sell adapters. They also all in male / female starter kits which cut the price at bit. Also , they do sell a do-it-yourself kit for making your own box that is only 79 eros. PLEASURETEC: This is yet another European (UK) made box. However, it is much more expensive than the others. It runs 279 pounds (about $410 US, I think). Again, this one though meant for e-stimming is basically a tens unit with a few extras. This is only $50 cheaper than Eros Tek which has gotten tons of positive review on the E-stim online zines. SLIGHTEST TOUCH: A little different twist on an electric sex box. It the pelvic region or stimulates the genitals. The only contact with the body is where the electrode pads are placed, either on the top of the foot, slightly above the ankle, or on either side of the spine above the buttocks. This is suppose to help stimulate either a male or female and make more ready for sex. It has gotten a few good reviews in the ESS forms. Click link for a in-depth review of the box and toys. CAT SYSTEMS: A wide variety a different electrical boxes & toys to numerous to list here. A lot of there stuff in unique to them. One toy reminds me called a dressage stick reminds of the Goad in the Gor books. Toys supposed are safe above the waist & to not leave marks. All items sold by CAT Systems which is based in Germany.
